No matter your prescription, from nearsightedness to presbyopia, you could be a good candidate for contact lenses. Drs. Alecia Barnes, Jennifer Lyerly, and Brandon Weyand have decades of experience in both standard and more complex custom-order contact lens design. At TrueVision Eye Care, we fit standard soft lenses to be replaced daily, biweekly, and monthly for just about every prescription option. For more complex cases, we offer specialized custom-fit lenses with rigid gas permeable, scleral, and orthokeratology designs.
Patients with high prescriptions, astigmatism, irregular corneas due to conditions like keratoconus, or visual challenges disrupting both long distance and near work can all struggle to find a contact lens solution at traditional eyecare practices. Our doctors offer the most advanced contact lens technology and have earned their reputation as the go-to advanced contact lens care providers in the Triangle.
We provide:
- Daily, biweekly, and monthly soft contact lenses
- Custom soft contact lenses and color lenses
- Multifocal contact lenses
- Myopia management contact lenses
- Rigid gas permeable/hard contact lenses
- Hybrid contact lenses
- Scleral contact lenses

Understanding the benefits of contact lenses
If you’ve never worn contact lenses, you should know that there are many advantages of using them to correct your vision. Some specific advantages include:
- Not worrying about the distortions and reflections that often result from wearing regular eyeglasses
- Your lenses won’t fog up when transitioning from a cold area to a warm area
- Being free of obscuring drops of water whenever it rains or snows
- Not experiencing the pinching of the nose guards that comes with improperly adjusted eyeglasses
- Being able to play sports without eyeglasses that can interfere with your headgear
These are just a few of the advantages. If you’d like to learn more about the advantages of contact lenses in general, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Can I sleep in my contacts?
While some contact lenses are FDA approved for overnight wear, sleeping in your contact lenses will always increase your risk of eye infections.
Can I use my eyeglass prescription to buy over-the-counter contact lenses?
There are no over the counter contact lenses but your eyeglass prescription is different than a contact lens prescription. To get a contact lens prescription, a doctor needs to determine the best curve and prescription.
Is it safe for me to clean my contact lenses with a homemade solution?
We recommend only cleaning contact lenses with an FDA approved cleaning solution.
Can my child wear contact lenses during sports activities?
Daily contact lenses are an excellent option for children to wear for most sports. Goggles are recommended for swimming.
